EA cut the price of iPhone games

Game developers Electronics Arts (EA) lower prices for the iPhone platform games. A number of famous games such as Madden NFL, FIFA 2010 and SimCity sold only $ 0.99. However, not all EA games sold on iTunes trimmed. Some games like The Sims 3 and FIFA World Cup is still sold each $ 6, 99 and $2,99.

There are at least 14 games are trimmed by EA, SimCity ie, SimCity, Madden NFL 2010, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010, FIFA 10, Need for Speed Shift, Need for Speed Undercover, Command & Conquer Red Alert, NBA Live, CLUE, Trivial Pursuit, CONNECT 4, Battleship, YAHTZEE Adventures, and The Game of Life: Classic Edition.

Market competition games for iPhone users is estimated to be a reason for EA to lower the price of the game. Especially after the circulation of news going entry of social networking games Farmville to the iPhone platform.
Zynga virtual farm game developer will provide it in the App Store. This was revealed by Zynga CEO Mark Pincus at WWDC event some time ago. EA seem worried about competition.

Farmville itself is known to have played more than 80 million users. Farmville's presence in the App Store is expected to boost the number of users.
Besides Farmville other games that will land on the App Store include Guitar hero. Previous Guitar Hero games have penetrated the mobile platform after Glu Mobile to work with Activision game Guitar Hero5 launched a mobile version.
